The “Apple Loft” is a listed building which has recently been sensitively converted to provide a wonderful light and airy workshop space. Under-floor heating and a pale oak floor add to the simple authenticity of this delightful space. The original rafters and beams have been retained. The lighting has been carefully thought out to provide a wide range of possibilities. Good ventilation has also been considered.
The floor of the “Apple Loft” measures:- 37 ft 6 inches long x 20ft 8 inches wide or 11.4 metres long by 6.1 metres wide.
Downstairs there is an entrance lobby with lovely space, coat hooks, shoe lockers - no shoes upstairs please, we provide slippers - and two loos. One of these is a disabled facility. The simple, wide, oak staircase leads to the workshop.
There is also a kitchenette downstairs for drinks, snacks etc with cleaning-up facilities. In effect it is a butler’s pantry designed to allow breaks, contained within the building.
We can provide for many types of courses.
We have 10 couches and seats on casters for bodywork, space for up to 18 Yoga mats, plenty of chairs and numerous cushions, padded mats and Zafus. There are also a number of cellular blankets. If you need any other specialist equipment, please discuss your requirements with us.
Further equipment includes a projector and screen for power point presentations (please bring your own laptop) an overhead projector and flip charts and coloured pens. We also have T.V with video accommodating English and American settings.
