Kientalerhof, Switzerland

The Kiental, the main access to the Blümlisalp area
Kiental, meaning 'the valley of pines and rolling rocks', is a small village in one of the most untouched settings of the Swiss Alps, in a known hiking area in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Its proximity to the impressive Blümlisalpmassif with its very ancient forests, crystal clear creeks and raging waterfalls invites restful walks. The seminar hotel was renovated and a new addition was built according to ecological principals. The house offers a choice of simply furnished lodgings ranging from single bedrooms with and without shower/WC to dormitories. The numerous beautiful lecture halls and lounges are in bright and pleasant colours. The windows open up to the spectacular world of the Alps. One of the principle features in the seminar hotel is the wholesome delicious dishes made from mostly biological and biodynamic ingredients. All meals are prepared creatively and well-balanced.
