Your stay at Aruna always begins with the doctor´s examination in order to determine your constitution in ayurvedic meaning of the word, the “doshas” (Ayurveda differs three main doshas). Each guest gets his personal treatments, therapies and massages, and, if prescribed, an individual diet. (Of course, along with doshas, the doctor takes into consideration all other parameter: your age, gender, state of health, as well as up to date season and weather.) As for diets, their healing affect starts with the quality of products. And each of the six flavours (“tasas”), distinguished by ayurveda, should be presented by each meal in proportion adjusted to the state of your health. Our food is mostly vegetarian and always totally fresh. We cook only 100% organic food, because we would like to treat you with the quality we cherish, and which some of our Sri Lankan collegues have enjoyed in their every day life at home. And this particular, extraordinary quality is maybe the only thing which makes difference between our food from that of a three stars restaurant. With the single remark: our food is by far healthier.
