DIVYA @ THE LEELA KEMPINSKI KOVALAM BEACH KERALA
Divya means ‘light’. It represents the ‘Essence of Ayurveda’ and ‘the Essence of India’.
Divya has a soul of good energy created for chakra healing and chakra balancing. Chakras (literally meaning spinning wheel in Sanskrit) refers to the energy power points within the human body. Built on a cliff top the Divya Spa is set in 8000 sq. ft. of area consisting of 8 spa rooms. The area is a completely sanitized zone.
The Spa feature Ayurveda, an age old Indian science that is presented in an international setting. The idea is to take a contemporary route and deliver an authentic product. The traditional painting of the body with chakras at the entrance of the spa is intended to create harmony of mind body and soul with music.
Flowers floating in large vessels, flames flickering and the pleasant music that hovers across the tender evening air provides first impression at "Divya". From the grandeur of the Lobby to exoticness of Ayurveda, Divya is definitely a priced possession of Kerala. Avoiding a mere basic style of décor odor that Ayurveda centers tend to adapt, Divya embraces luxury to spoil you completely.
Divya Spa is showcased amidst the elements of golden sunshine, cool ocean breeze and the sound of breaking waves.
The Yoga Centre is the Unique Selling Point of the Spa The elevated Yoga Centre with open air on all sides boasts of polished wooden floor and a wooden roof.
The special feature is a small book library for relaxation and a music menu where the guest has the opportunity to choose music to his choice from a specially chosen collection. It is for the first time Ayurveda an age old science has been presented in an international setting with care taken to every detail to the highest level of guest comfort and hygiene.
What we also hope is to develop ‘Divya’ not just as an Ayurveda centre but as a destination where people from all over the world could spend a lengthy period of time in Kovalam and get treated medically and scientifically for their ailments.
