It has taken almost thirteen years to achieve my dream of creating the Melenos Lindos. My concept was to build a small hotel which would accurately reflect the complex history of the island and in particular, the unique architectural heritage of Lindos. It would also provide a showcase for some pieces from my collection of rare treasures from Greece, Turkey and the Middle East, including some architectural fragments which are built into the structure.
With the collaboration of architect Anastasia Papaioanou and Australian artist-designer Donald Green my dream has been fulfilled. Their combined skills have successfully enabled me to achieve my primary goal of creating an environment of historical relevance to harmonize with the ancient site of Lindos. It is also a place of aesthetic integrity which lifts the spirit.
