Every major hospitality guide operates on the same principle: stars are awarded, points are tallied, properties are ranked against standardised criteria. Facilities, service ratios, food quality, room size.
We do not do this.
Not because we lack rigour, but because we believe these criteria measure the wrong thing entirely.

We call it Healing Depth: the capacity of a place to create the conditions for genuine inner restoration, integration, or transformation. It is not a score. It is not a ranking. It is a recognition of something most measurement systems cannot even see.
This is the result of more than thirty years of studying how places shape inner states. We have learned to recognise the difference between a place that performs healing and a place that embodies it. That difference is what Healing Depth reads.
II. What We Read
Most guides ask: what does this place offer?
We ask: what does this place open?
Resonance is the coherence between the identity of a place and the experience it actually creates. When atmosphere, people, spaces, and philosophy speak the same language, a guest feels it immediately. When they do not, they feel that too.
State is what happens to the nervous system and the inner life of a person who spends time here. Does something slow down? Does something settle? State is the most honest measure of healing competence, and the least visible in standard review systems.

A HealingGuide Restore property creates reliable conditions for recovery and deep rest. It does not promise inner change. It delivers the quietude in which change becomes possible.
Methodical Depth · Conscious Rhythm · Somatic Intelligence
This property moves beyond comfort into intentionality. Its healing offering is structured, coherent, and carried by people who understand what they are doing and why. Treatments are meaningful, spaces are considered, and the rhythm of the stay reflects a genuine understanding of how people actually shift.
Guests often leave with something they did not have before: a new relationship to their body, a quieter mind, or a perspective that was not available on arrival.
A HealingGuide Integrate property combines sincere healing competence with atmospheric coherence. It does not merely provide wellness. It creates the conditions for integration, the gradual settling of something real.

This is a rare designation, given to properties where the healing experience extends beyond the body into the territory of genuine inner shift. The people, the place, and the philosophy form a coherent whole that acts on the guest at a level deeper than anticipated.
Guests leave with the sense that something in them has changed, in ways that continue to unfold long after departure.
A HealingGuide Transform property creates the conditions for experiences that can alter perspective, deepen self-awareness, and leave a lasting mark. This is the standard by which we describe what healing hospitality can, at its finest, become.
Every property that receives a Healing Depth recognition is given a badge to carry beyond HealingGuide, onto its own website, booking pages, and communications.
Healing Depth recognitions are initiated by HealingGuide, not applied for. They are renewed annually. A property that no longer meets the standard it was recognised for will not be renewed, regardless of history or relationship.
Properties that have received a recognition may request their badge directly from HealingGuide.

These assessments do not influence a property’s Healing Depth recognition. They are tools for the property, not signals for us.

We do not offer branding or implementation as part of these services, because doing so would compromise the independence that makes them worth having.
